Howdy and Welcome Wild Ones South Central Texas!
Wild Ones chapters are more than just garden clubs — they’re vibrant communities where folks with a shared passion for native plants come together to learn, grow, share our knowledge and make a real difference. Whether you’re just digging into native landscaping or already have dirt under your nails, there’s a place for you here.
In Texas, we know resilience — and there’s no better way to honor that spirit than by restoring our landscapes with native plants. From the rocky bluebonnet filled slopes of the Hill Country and the limestone ridges of the Edwards Plateau, where Ashe juniper and live oak anchor the terrain, to the sandy woodlands of the Post Oak Savannah and the breezy meadows of the Gulf Coast, native plants are uniquely suited to thrive in our climate and support our wildlife.
Plants like Texas lantana, little bluestem, mealy blue sage, and gulf muhly do more than look good — they save water, build soil health, and provide critical habitat for pollinators and birds.
Wild Ones chapters are where this change takes root. These local groups are hubs of hands-on learning, seed swaps, community projects, and shared inspiration. Whether you’re planting a prairie in your backyard, restoring a creek bed, or helping a school start a native garden, you’re part of a growing movement to reconnect South Central Texas with its natural roots.
We’re excited to help you make a difference. Together, we can transform our landscapes — one milkweed, one bluebonnet, one Wild Ones chapter at a time.
Come join us in South Central Texas Chapter and Let’s get planting, y’all!
